FEYNMAN TECHNIQUE

Are you facing problem while remembering what you study. No problem everybody face the same problem in their life. Reason behind the problem of forgetting things is lack of understanding the topics. Here's a technique that helps you to learn anything much faster and that technique is Feynman Technique.

Nobel-prize winner physicist Richard Feynman called "The Great Explainer" relanted learning with the teaching. His technique is a method for reviewing or learning a concept by explaining it in simplest way to others. In other words as Albert Einstein says, "If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”, for learning anything you have to understand it deeply. To pinpoint your problem areas Feynman Technique gives you a quick solution. According to technique if you can explain concept to others then it will last for years in your mind.

Feynman Technique

The application of Feynman Technique is in 4 steps which are given below:

Step 1: Choose a concept and start studying

Take a notebook and start writing what you know about the topic. When you know something new quickly write down it in the book. Do not write it like an essay, always your writing will be point-wise.

Step 2: Pretend to teach the concept

Try to explain the topic to others in your own words like a teacher. Don't give only definitions or a broad theory of the topics, also give one or more example to make touch with the topic.

Step 3: Refer books to fill gaps

After completing your explanation, once go through it and where you got stuck. Find out questions and refer books related to topic to get solutions.

Step 4: Simplify your topic

Now you are much able to explain it but it is not for others to understand your topic. Simplify your language and words, try to avoid jargons (special words).

Feynman Technique is best for understanding new ideas, remembering for examination. It works in each and every field as well as science.
